The Czech PEN club on Monday marked its 85th anniversary. Established in Prague just three years after the worldwide association of writers was founded in London in 1922, the Czech PEN club brought together some big names in pre-war Czech literature, including Karel Čapek, František Langer and Viktor Fischl.

The Golha Project: Digital Archiving of Flowers of Persian Poetry and Song (Payvand Iran News)

Golha Radio Program, broadcast from 1956 through 1979, covered the entire history of classical as well as contemporary Persian poetry, giving marvelous expression to the whole gamut of traditional Persian music and poetry. Digital archiving of all the Golha radio programs is being conducted for access by academic researchers of Persian music and literature and the public at large.
