Spain wants Nobel laureate Saramago’s taxes to be paid posthumously

Madrid - Lawyers of the late Portuguese Nobel literature laureate Jose Saramago have appealed a Spanish court ruling ordering him to pay more than 700,000 euros (899,500 dollars) in retroactive taxes to the Spanish state, media reports said Thursday.
